You don’t have to travel far to find a favourite place

While I love to travel and find new and exciting places to explore and businesses to discover, I also love finding amazing places close to home. Especially through the pandemic there was a big movement to support local and I was so happy when a new coffee shop opened near my house 2 years ago. Opening during the pandemic was no easy feat and these people not only did that but have created a community of customers! Not hard to do when they are so friendly and genuinely get to know their regular customers.

Huge shout out to my favourite coffee shop in the Edmonton area

Morning Brew 192 is by far my favourite place to get a delicious coffee. They support an Alberta roaster and the coffee is delicious. they are located in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Whether it is a quick to go coffee or to sit and enjoy a coffee in their quaint little shop, I love it all. I cannot forget to mention the amazing bagels they provide, sourced from another local baker, called Bagel Bar. I think this is one of the things I love most about seeing business supporting each other, not just the customers supporting local. I have tried most things on the drink menu, hot or iced. They are by far my favourite drip coffee available around here. Lattes are a sinful favourite but I can’t have them as often as I would like.

Creative latte flavors

Every month the owners of Morning Brew come up with amazing monthly special latte flavours. From a sinful Choco-latte at easter featuring Mini eggs (and who doesn’t love mini eggs) to a fall s’mores latte. Light fruit flavoured ones in the summer are common. While the specials are a bit more expensive than the regular ones, due to the ingredients that go into them and the time they take to make they are well worth sampling at least once.

Service with a smile

The owners are always friendly and up for a chat when they aren’t too busy serving customers. I love feeling like part of a community. I now find this is one of my more productive “offices” to work on my blog. I find the environment inspiring, and I can’t deny the good coffee helps get the creative juices flowing. I’ve watched them from my table interacting with various customers and it’s heart warming to see how everyone supports this family run business, likely in part to the camaraderie they feel when they walk in the door.

I brought my friend from Quebec here and she often comments about how much she misses the coffee! Another bonus for this business is they use compostable cups!
